NEW RELEASE: The Mission - Live and Last

The Mission will release their album "Live and Last" a special edition collectors set, spanning 2 discs and comprising of live material recorded at The Sheperds Bush Empire, London in March 2008, a handful of tracks from a live show in Koln – Germany that was played on the 24th February, and on the second disc an interview with Janice Long and Wayne Hussey.

NEWS: IAMX 3rd studio album

IAMX will be making their 3rd studio album release "Kingdom of Welcome Addiction", the official release date for the album is 19th May, however pre-ordered copies will be shipped on the 6th, you can pre-order here, you can still download the track "Think Of England" taken from the new album if you haven't already done so.

Kelli Dayton aka Kelli Ali (a name she took to honour her father, Michael Ali), if you didn't already know was the once lead singer of the Sneaker Pimps under the name Kelli Dayton, before this she was the singer/songwriter and guitar player in the group "the lumieres", they only released one single "cinder hearts", before joining "the lumieres" she was part of the group "Psycho Drama", as well as a solo career she has also provided vocals for a number of artists.

NEWS: PJ Harvey and John Parish US shows

PJ Harvey and John Parish will be making a whirlwind visit to the US in March ahead of their forthcoming album release. They will perform at SXSW in Austin, Texas on Saturday, March 21st. Next stop will be an intimate show at LA's El Rey Theatre on Monday March 23rd before heading to New York for a show at The Fillmore @ Irving Plaza on Thursday March 26th. Polly and John will perform songs from their forthcoming album as well as their first collaboration, 1996's Dance Hall At Louse Point. They will be backed by a band that comprises of Eric Drew Feldman, Jean Marc Butty and Giovanni Ferrario.

Tickets for the LA & New York shows go on-sale this Saturday, February 14th. More information can be found here, www.ticketmaster.com and www.livenation.com.

NEWS : Camera Obscura - forthcoming album/single

Camera Obscura have announced the release date for their next album "My Maudlin Career", it is penciled in for 20th April (21st April in the US), the albums' release will be proceeded the week before with the release of the first single to be taken off the album "French Navy", both will be released on 4ad.

Babble

Babble for those who don't know is, or rather was the group that was formed out of the ashes of the Thompson Twins, Tom Bailey and Alannah Currie teamed up with engineer/programmer and musician Keith Fernley and Babble was born.

They were active between 1993 and 1996, and released two albums, although a third was planned, it never happened.
