NEW RELEASE : OMD LIVE DVD

The recent live performance featuring OMD with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra will be available on DVD later this year. Electricity: OMD with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra is due for release on December 7th 2009.

The concert, recorded on June 20th 2009, featured the orchestral premiere of The Energy Suite followed by a selection of classic OMD songs with orchestral backing fronted by both Andy McCluskey and Paul Humphreys.

Oh and for those who are lucky enough to be seeing the forthcoming Simple Minds tour featuring OMD, they will be performing Kraftwerks Neon Lights together.

NEWS : a-ha and simple minds to play SWR3 concert

German radio station SWR3 is sponsoring a concert in Neuwied, Germany, on August 6 that will feature a-ha and Simple Minds each performing 45-minute sets.

Tickets are only available to competition winners, and will be given away daily in various cities in Germany up until the day of the show. a-ha's 6th of August appearance will be recorded and shown on TV channel ARTE on 22nd August.

NEWS : "Graffiti Soul" record signing, Glasgow, UK

To coincide with the release of their new album, Simple Minds will be signing copies of 'Graffiti Soul' at HMV Glasgow on Monday 25th May 2009 at 3.00pm UK time. HMV music store, Glasgow, Buchanan St, G1 2NG.

OMD and Simple Minds North America

I personally think some have got ahead of themselves on this one, although it will probably happen, nowhere have I seen any confirmation of OMD to tour with Simple Minds on their North American Tour, so far only UK dates have been given.

Yes I have seen Jim Kerr's video on simpleminds.com and while he hints, he doesn't state anything definite.

NEW RELEASE : Simple Minds - Graffiti Soul

25th of May 2009 will be a special date for Simple Minds fans as it is the date the band have given for the release of their next studio album "Graffiti Soul", its the 15th album by the band and follows hot on the heels of their 30th Anniversary Tour.
