Mercury Music Awards

Well again, rather predictably the Mercury Music Award goes to an artist that IMHO wasn't the most talented performer in the shortlist. I was hoping Bat For Lashes would have scooped the award. Oh well maybe next year they may actually give the award to someone with some talent.

HAIRGLOW

HAIRGLOW is the solo project of Alex Callier of Hooverphonic, although Hooverphonic never actually split up, their lead singer Geike Arnaert left the group at the end of 2008 to pursue a solo career, the group announced they were looking for a replacement singer.

HAIRGLOW has an self-titled album out, and released his first single back in June, the video to which is posted below.

I think this project is sounding good.

NEW RELEASE : The Black Seeds are coming to the US

New Zealands' The Black Seeds will be making their US debut later this month with the release of their first North American release "SOLID GROUND" on the 29th of September, followed by a US tour with John Browns Body.
